I am interested in finding out the validity of the cell tower location GPS provided by Open Cell ID. It appears the cell tower locations are not actual cell towers . Please can you explain if these points are actual cell towers ? Thank you.
The OpenCelliD database has data on approximations on individual cells. We do not have data on position of physical cell towers. Each physical tower can have multiple cells/ base stations on it.
