Identifying Small Cells with OpenCelliD Data

Hi everyone,

Hope all is well and thanks for your help!

I am trying to identify which of the sites/towers reported by OpenCelliD are macro sites vs micro sites (ideally Small Cells outdoor) - does anyone have an idea on how to do this?

this isn’t possible.
you will likely have to depend on cell footprint size as microcells are generally lower power typically 2-10Watts and implemented at lower height ranging between 6-10 or 12 meters AGL at most.

Hi @Aaron,

Also, be well aware that the lat/lon values in the OpenCellId data are estimates of the center of the cell and tell you absolutely nothing about Cell Tower locations–except they tower cannot possibly be at the lat/lon estimate of the cell center.
